RULES AND REGULATIONS

All language films are accepted, and subtitles are compulsory.
Complete details about the film and the team must be provided without fail.
English subtitles are compulsory for all the NON-ENGLISH short films
Maximum duration - 40 minutes
The film will be watched by a group of judges and if you are selected you will be rewarded with the 'Laurel' mentioning 'official selection' for your film. Decisions made by the judges will be the final.
Once submitted, the team will be notified of the film’s selection status.
Make sure that you submit a YouTube link of the film, if not yet published on YouTube and if you don't want to make it public you can publish the film on YouTube but keep it in private mode. With the link shared with us, we'll be able to access the film.
A participation fee of ₹250 is required for all film entries, Which is non-refundable.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR FILM GETS NOMINATED?

The nominated films will be invited to the Videotape Film Festival 2024. The event will have Film Screenings, Media Coverage, Photo Shoots, Interviews, and more. Each film team will get to witness a whole new experience of the world of Cinema. Best talents will be surprised with new opportunities.

Film Selection and Shortlisting Process at VTSFF

At VTSFF, each submitted short film undergoes a thorough review process. Our team first verifies that every submission adheres to the festival's norms, rules, and regulations. If a film fails to meet these criteria, it will not be selected for the VTSFF that particular season for further review by the judges and proceed further.
Films that meet all guidelines are notified and move on to the next stage, where they are evaluated by a panel of juries. After careful review, a shortlist of selected films is created, and the filmmakers are informed. These shortlisted films will be screened during the festival.
Please note that shortlisting does not equate to a nomination. A separate nomination list will be compiled, and the nominated films will receive a special invitation to our awards event.
